Matthew Barnaby Commits to Lake Superior

Pembroke Lumber Kings forward Matthew Barnaby has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Lake Superior State beginning with the 2018-2019 season. Barnaby, a 6-foot-0 150 pound forward from Buffalo, NY is currently in his first season in the CCHL with the Pembroke Lumber Kings, registering 14 goals and 29 assists for 43 points in 50 games. Matthew has had an outstanding season so far with the Lumber Kings, earning a selection to the CJHL Top Prospects Game January 25th in Cornwall, Ontario.

 

 

Before making the jump to the Canadian Jr. A ranks, Barnaby spent time with premier New England Prep program Avon Old Farms, as well as the Buffalo Regals U16 and U18 teams. Matthew, an 8th Round selection by the Bloomington Thunder in the 2015 USHL Entry Draft, will have more than a few options to choose from in regards to his 2017-2018 hockey season before joining the Lakers for the 2018-2019 season.
