- Updated: November 12, 2019

Providence sophomore forward Jack Dugan has been named Hockey East Player of the Week following a 6 assist performance in the Friars two game series with the BU Terriers this past weekend. Dugan, a 6-foot-2, 192 pound forward from Rochester, NY is currently leading NCAA Division I Hockey in scoring with 5 goals and 19 assists for 24 points in just 10 games. Dugan was selected in the 5th Round by the Las Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and could see himself signing a professional contract if his season with the Friars continues.
Dugan had quite the weekend but his selection as Hockey East Player of the Week comes as a bit of a surprise as Boston University Junior defenseman David Farrance registered 5 goals and 1 assist in the series, including a hat trick in Saturday night’s 6-5 overtime thriller. Farrance, a 5-foot-11, 195 pound blueliner from Victor, NY now finds himself as the nations leading scorer among defenseman and sits in a tie for 7th overall with 14 points in just 9 games. The former USNTDP product was a 3rd Round pick of the Nashville Predators in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
