The NCAA Division I Hockey route has frequently lead to NHL opportunities for undrafted players and this off-season, Cole Bardreau will likely find himself the beneficiary of one of those opportunities. As a member of the USNTDP Program during both his U17 and U18 seasons, Bardreau won Gold with Team USA at both the U17 World Hockey Championships and the 2011 U18 World Junior Championships before beginning his career with the Cornell Big Red. Known by coaches and scouts for his incredible work ethic and leadership abilities, Bardreau’s career thus far with the Big Red has been very successful. During his first three years in Ithaca, Bardreau has totaled 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points in 99 games. Cole also was an assistant captain for Team USA during the 2013 U20 World Junior Championships, helping Team USA to a Gold Medal win over Sweden. Following his 2013-2014 junior season Bardreau participated in both the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins Rookie Development Camps. When Cole Bardreau’s NCAA Division I hockey career comes to a close at the end of this season, he will very likely sign a deal with an NHL team as an Unrestricted Free Agent
