Western New York Hockey Prospects Overall Rank: #10 Overall

Trevor Mingioa is a prospect that has flown under the radar for some Western New York Hockey fans and that is unfortunate for many reasons. Mingoia, a forward from Fairport, NY has quietly had quite the season for the Friars, a team currently in a three way tie for 3rd place in a strong Hockey East Conference. With 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 30 games, Mingoia is scoring at nearly a point per game and is the second leading scorer for the Friars, just 3 points back of the team lead. After captaining The Berkshire School in 2010-2011, Mingoia moved on to play with Union College, winning both the ECAC regular season title and ECAC Tournament title with the Dutchmen. When Union coach Nate Leaman left for Providence in 2011, Mingoia followed. Due to NCAA transfer rules, Mingoia was forced to sit out a season and took his game to Tri-City of the USHL before his transfer to Providence was accepted in November of 2013. Much like Poturalski, Junior forward Trevor Mingoia has a knack for the net and likely will garner some interest in the Free Agent market once his time in Providence has come to an end.
