Andrew Poturalksi’s path to college hockey should be very familiar to Buffalo, NY hockey fans. After spending 2 years with the Nichols School Vikings, Poturalski was drafted by the USHL’s Sioux City Muskateers. Andrew played another season with Nichols and an additional season with the OJHL Buffalo Jr Sabres before moving on to the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders after the team acquired his rights from Sioux City. In addition to earning a scholarship to play NCAA Division I hockey with the University of New Hampshire Wildcats, Poturalski made a name for himself as an offensive force with the RoughRiders. Last season, Poturalski was named to the USHL All-Star game on his way to 27 goals and 37 assists for 64 points in 60 games, finishing 6th in USHL scoring. For Andrew, this season continued right where last season left off. The UNH freshman is 6th in Hockey East Freshman scoring with 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points in 30 games. The Williamsville, NY native is currently an Unrestricted Free Agent. If Andrew Poturalski keeps up his early scoring pace, it is very likely he will earn a Free Agent contract with an NHL within the next few years.
